Rehabilates™ is the rehabilitative and fitness program developed by Dr. Hana Liebowitz PT, DPT, that combines principles of manual physical therapy and pilates based exercise training to treat physical impairments and functional limitations, as well as to promote general fitness and well being.
Rehabilates™ is for those who wish to enhance their fitness levels while overcoming specific injuries or conditions, and for people with a desire to push past current exercise plateaus safely, utilizing pilates principles and with injury prevention in mind.
Your customized Rehabilates™ program will begin with an in-depth initial evaluation to identify your personal goals, challenges, and needs. From there, Hana will work with you one-on-one in 60 minute sessions using hands on techniques as well as therapeutic exercise and neuromuscular re-education to ensure proper progress, tailoring each session to maximize results.
Hana developed the Rehabilates™ program to fill the gap between traditional realms of healthcare and fitness, and to provide a hands-on personalized approach for her clients.
Hana received her Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) from New York University, and is certified in Stott Pilates for Rehabilitation. Additionally she is a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS), Certified Kinesiotape practitioner (CKTP), certified in Graston Technique (GT), and Certified Selective Functional Movement Assessment (SFMA) provider. She practiced for 5 years in Manhattan prior to moving to Philadelphia, and has a total of over 10 years of experience specializing in orthopedics/sports medicine. Her previous clinical experience includes training at Hospital for Special Surgery and at The Rusk Institute of Rehabilitation (NYU), and working with high level athletes and Broadway performers in private practice.
As a new mom for the second time and a new homeowner in Wynnewood PA, Hana is excited to offer Rehabilates from her home studio (in addition to the center city location), and bring her knowledge and skills to her new community.
“After my knee replacement, it was so important to find the right therapist. After one bad choice, I came to Hana. Within a week , I began to move with less pain. Hana is simply the best in the business. She meets you at your own level and her extensive knowledge and flexibility of approach charts a program for healing as individual as her clients. I owe my recovery to her.” - Barbara, 70s
"First of all, I love to work out. In fact, I probably live to work out. Before starting physical therapy with Hana, I had been frustrated for years by chronic muscle tension as well as reoccurring sprains due to my (hyper)active lifestyle. The nature of my injuries were starting to impinge upon my overall wellness because I did not know how to properly rest, recover or work through them without setbacks. Massage therapy and yoga classes (on a sporadic basis) weren't providing the healing work that my body really needed. After my very first treatment with Hana, I realized that I actually did not have to live my with pain nor did I need to avoid living my life to the fullest because of pain. I am grateful to have found a physical therapist who takes the time to create effective treatment plans that target a problem while addressing me as a whole person. Also, the integration of physical therapy and Pilates sets Hana apart from many other practitioners. Her expertise combined with a down-to-earth approach are what keep me coming back. I'm a healthier and happier person because of my work with her!" - Kate, 30s
"I am writing to thank you for making my retirement time so much better than it was before I had the good fortune to have met you. In short order your dealing with my problem resulted in a marked improvement to my back such that I can walk much further without pain and although the pain eventually returns it takes much longer for it to do so and some days it does not hurt hardly at all." - Ed, 80s
